Teen Program/SOMA USY & Kadima
United Synagogue Youth (USY) is the official youth movement of Conservative Judaism. USY offers high school students the opportunity to immerse themselves in various Jewish and social activities while forming friendships that will last a lifetime.
SOMA Youth Program offers a wide variety of after school, weekend and special interest programs for South Orange & Maplewood teens. SOMA Teens are empowered to grow intellectually, socially, creatively and emotionally.
Kadima (middle school) kids are offered a safe, nurturing and supervised environment as they develop into more independent teens while building a foundation for participating in Jewish activities that will last a lifetime. View our 18-19 Kadima calendar here
USY (High School) develop leadership skills and build healthy, social bonds through cohort-based learning, youth group experiences rich in spirit, social action, Israel & Jewish ritual, and community social events appealing to high school interests. USY is truly for anyone-whether your teen has an interest in planning and implementing programs, going on a USY summer trip or weekend Kinnusim or simply to attend one of our amazing weekly Lounge nights or Saturday night events.
